My 2nd Video--Missing Audio

Please check out my 2nd video! I really had a more difficult time this time using movie maker since I had used photostory prior to this. I was sick during the making of the video so the audio will be added later this week. Please let me know if the content looks good, transitions, and so on.

Outline for my 2nd Student-Audience Video

Making social studies come alive is very difficult without the ability to show students actively learning, which is the main issue working in NYC. As part of the contractual obligations, NYC teachers are not allowed to use students photos or videos in any public forum.

This posed a problem to me with the first video and now with the second.

My topic is: The Civil Rights

My goal is to combine a lesson on human rights vs. civil rights with a short quiz which would allow teachers to use this in an actual review lesson.

Human Rights vs. Civil Rights (title page with credits)

I am going to find images of various civil and human right violations (creative commons license) and explain the background history of a few major violations in history (world vs. American)

I will show some slides of the information written in powerpoint in order to highlight the information. This will allow students time and information to take notes on.

Once I am done explaining the ideas, I will show a quiz with 5 review questions (my assessment).

I will explain to students in the video how it should be scored and offer some more places they could study the material for the upcoming exam on the Civil Rights Movement in America.

I will try to incorporate music from the various eras, but will be mindful of creative commons licensing.

At the end, there will be a page with credits and one of the music genres I explained.
